Hello Everyone,
I stayed home from work today due to some funky stomach virus. But while I'm sitting up for a few, I figured I'd keep you posted. I guess now there are THREE official musical works going on. 1) The instrumental CD with my brother, Jean Getsi, 2) The Advent CD - to come out about a month before Advent 2010, and 3) A third CD with Mat Getsi & Friends - which I hope will have more of a "group" chemestry than just a "me" chemestry. It's always more interesting that way.
But the frustrating thing is that I'm still having no luck getting Cakewalk Sonar 7 to work for me. At this point Ron Jackson and I believe that Sonar is innocent and that the Delta 66 audio/digital interface is defective. We have a few more ideas of how we might get around this problem, but if need be, there's another purchase that I really can't afford right now.
So please, ...and I REALLY mean this... please pray for me as I, my name, my finances, and practically every other part of my life has [...]

Hey Folks,
Out of the blue, my brother sent me a couple of tunes he recorded the other day. They were instrumental tunes and one of them, in particular, captivated me. I think the title is "Eden's Forgiven." This song had such a strong feeling of joyous release that it made me think it should be on a sound-track of some movie where chaos and turmoil is finally resolved and blissful, joyful peace is restored. That's what it feels like to hear it...like a joyful release from troubles and worry.
Then the thought hit me. With all the people who have been asking me for years when I would do an instrumental work of meditative/other tunes, I thought now might be the time. I've actually been working on some new tunes for this, but thought it would be much easier if I only had to come up with half the tunes on the CD. So I shot my brother an email about the possibilities. He thinks it's a good idea as well. So...
Now it's your turn. Would you like for us to pursue this? Maybe have an instrumental [...]

I have been asked that question a blue-million times lately. Am I ready for Christmas? But everyone who asks is really asking, "Have you bought all the presents that you had to buy?" So to answer their real question, I have to say, "No, not at all." But as to am I really ready for Christmas...I really don't know.
It seems that I really lack the traditional "Christmas Spirit" this year. And it occurs to me that I seem to lack it a bit more each year. Perhaps it's just fatigue. Perhaps life is so exhausting and the constant battling of problems and forces of darkness just wears a guy out. But it's left me feeling kind of numb to the whole thing.
But if you think of Christmas as Jesus' coming into this world...and ponder on the fact that He is due to come again...I think I can safely say...YES! I'm Ready! Come, Lord Jesus. That's the Christian way of saying, "Beam me up, Jesus. I've had enough!"
Think about this question, because it really is of VITAL importance..."Are YOU ready for [...]

Wow, I've never "blogged" before. It's really kind of exciting. Rather than updating the News/Journal section, I decided I'll try to keep people posted (and maybe get some good feedback at the same time) using this totally nifty blog page that Hostbaby2 created for me.
All the movies are out of my (and my friend's) failed movie rental store. So last night I battled the Computer based recording system again. Once again the computer won and I was left with some minor imotional scars. But I'm rather resilient and will try again tonight to conquer the digital distortion problem that I've been having. BTW, if anyone is an expert at using Cakewalk Sonar 7, please feel free to offer me some help.
Other than that, I'm still stuck with doing midi tracks only. But that's better than nothing, I think. Thanks for your patience. I know that I am one of the slowest recording artists alive...2 albums in 12 years is not a great rate of progress...but I hope to get better. Talk to you soon.
God's [...]
